About Us
The North Coast Nightmares are the premier flat‑track roller derby team representing Terrace, British Columbia. We proudly operate under the Terrace Roller Derby Association (TRDA), a non‑profit organization dedicated to promoting, developing, and advancing roller derby throughout Northwest BC.
As part of TRDA, we embody the Association’s mission: to foster a positive, inclusive, empowering roller derby community grounded in accountability, growth, and teamwork.
Our team brings together athletes, coaches, and officials with a remarkable depth of experience, competitive achievement, and community commitment.
What We Do
We train, develop, and support skaters with the goal of playing high‑level flat‑track roller derby.
As part of the Terrace Roller Derby Association, we offer structured training for all experience levels, build strong fundamentals, and focus on teamwork, strategy, and athletic growth.
We also work with other teams across Northwest BC to strengthen the regional derby community through collaboration, shared learning, and accessible opportunities to skate, practice, and play.
Our Experience
The North Coast Nightmares are built on a foundation of over 50 years of combined roller derby experience. Our roster includes:

- High‑performance coaches
- Long‑time skaters who helped build the team from its earliest years
- Newer athletes who are rapidly excelling and shaping the next generation of derby in Terrace
This blend of veteran leadership and emerging talent gives the Nightmares a unique strength: a team that honors its roots while continually growing, evolving, and pushing the sport forward.
